ALLNET ALL-SG8208M

The SG8208M is an 8-port Gigabit L2 switch, marketed as "smart-managed".

• RTL8380M SoC
• 2 * RTL8231 GPIO extenders to control the port LEDs, system LED and reset button.
• Macronix MX25L12805D (16MB flash)
• Nanya NT5TU128MBHE (128MB RAM)

Power is supplied via a standard 12V 1A barrel connector. At the back is a hard power-on/off switch and at the right side behind the grid a hard reset button. A Serial header is already populated with pins and marked with GND TX RX Vcc(3.3V). Serial connection is via 115200 baud, 8N1. Connect TX to TX and RX to RX.

It ships with a bootloader based on Realtek's SDK for RTL83xx SoCs and Linux 2.6 based on Realtek's SDK. It has a web interface for all management functions.

There is complete hardware support in an experimental OpenWrt branch. Of the L2 features, port isolation, 4096 VLANs, Local Port Mirroring, EEE are supported. Original features such as cable integrity tests, offloaded remote mirroring and Port-ACLs are not yet supported.
